CRUZ NOBLEZA is the founder of CRUZ. A woman with many facets including... proud mom of Rachel (23) and Evan (21)... a longtime South Bay hair and make-up artist who continues to freelance as a Hollywood entertainment industry make-up artist www.cruz-hair-makeup.com. In 1995, Cruz decided it was time to pull in the reins and stay closer to home. She wanted to create an atmosphere that was conducive to her family life, her hairdressing/make-up career, yet able to surround herself with the "things" she loves. Thus, CRUZ was born... a collector showcase of vintage Hawaiiana, surfing, and skateboard memorabilia. Cruz has been a collector of Hawaiiana for much of her life. Her father, Joe, was born and raised in Hawaii and many of their family members still reside in the islands.
In 2008, CRUZ will celebrate its 13th anniversary! For 10 years (1998-2008) Cruz produced "ISLAND+BEACH™... THE CRUZ ANNUAL SURF, SKATE, AND HAWAIIANA EXPO". This was a one day event of 40+ dealers from the Mainland and Hawaii and was the only show of its kind featuring select contemporary and vintage Hawaiiana, surf, and skate. Since ISLAND+BEACH™ was ONE OF A KIND, it attracted customers WORLDWIDE!
CRUZ can also be seen monthly at: The Groves at Irvine Valley College Flea Market (space 10-2), The Rose Bowl Pasadena Flea Market (spaces Y03 & Y05); the Long Beach Vet's Stadium Flea Market (space F-341); and at several specialty shows in Southern California (please check the calendar page for dates). Cruz also travels to Hawaii several times a year to "bring it all back" to the Collector's Shows at the Blaisdell Center in Honolulu.
