CRUZ NOBLEZA is the founder of CRUZ. A woman with many facets including... proud mom of 2 in college: Rachel (21) a Senior at San Diego State University and Evan (19) in his second year at California State University at Long Beach... a longtime South Bay hair and make-up artist who continues to freelance as a Hollywood entertainment industry make-up artist www.cruz-hair-makeup.com. In 1995, Cruz decided it was time to pull in the reins and stay closer to home. She wanted to create an atmosphere that was conducive to her family life, her hairdressing/make-up career, yet able to surround herself with the "things" she loves. Thus, CRUZ was born... a collector showcase of vintage Hawaiiana, surfing, and skateboard memorabilia. Cruz has been a collector of Hawaiiana for much of her life. Her father, Joe, was born and raised in Hawaii and many of their family members still reside in the islands.
In 2007, CRUZ will celebrate its 12 year anniversary! Little did Cruz know 12 years ago how many Hawaiiana lovers were out there. Cruz is the producer of "ISLAND+BEACH™... THE CRUZ ANNUAL SURF, SKATE, AND HAWAIIANA EXPO". This one day event is held in June and consists of 40+ dealers from the Mainland and Hawaii. It is the only show of its kind featuring select contemporary and vintage Hawaiiana, surf, and skate. Since ISLAND+BEACH™ is ONE OF A KIND, it attracts customers WORLDWIDE! CRUZ can also be seen monthly at: The Rose Bowl Pasadena Flea Market (spaces Y03 & Y05); the Long Beach Vet's Stadium Flea Market (F-341); and at several specialty shows in Southern California (please check the calendar page for dates). Cruz also travels to Hawaii several times a year to "bring it all back" to the Collector's Shows at the Blaisdell Center in Honolulu.
